Jeff Becker is the chief executive officer of Jennison Associates LLC, an investment division of PGIM, specializing in a range of active equity and fixed income investment strategies. Based in New York, he joined Jennison in October 2016 to lead the firm as its fourth CEO. Jennison was one of the original independent institutional money managers, founded in 1969. The firm has distinguished itself in the industry for more than 50 years by delivering investment excellence and developing long-term partnerships with clients that often span decades.
Previously, Becker was the chief executive officer of Voya Investment Management, the asset management subsidiary of Voya Financial. He was responsible for overseeing all aspects of Voya’s asset management business, including institutional, retail funds, retirement and proprietary portfolio segments. From 2009 to 2013, Becker was the chief executive officer of ING Investment Management Americas responsible for ING’s investment activities in the U.S., Canada and Latin America; prior to that, he held various executive positions with the firm including vice chairman, chief operating officer, and chief financial officer. From 1998 until 2002, Becker was chief financial and administrative officer of Aeltus Investment Management. Before joining Aeltus, Becker was the chief credit officer for Aetna’s Real Estate Investment Group. Before joining Aetna in 1994, he was a senior manager in Arthur Andersen’s financial consulting practice.
Becker received a B.A. in economics from Colgate University and an MBA in finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
He is a member of the Economic Club of New York, advisory board member of Institutional Investor’s U.S. Institute, vice chair of the Americares Board of Directors and chair of the Americares Free Clinics Board of Directors.
